Meet the Ossain Biotech field research team.
Dr. Monty Montgomery is the expedition leader. He has PhD’s in both biochemistry and pharmaceutical engineering from Indiana University. Dr. Montgomery is also one of the world’s leading authorities on snakes. His studies have done much to advance the field of herpetology. For fun, he dabbles in enigmatology and cryptography.
Logan Trudeau is the expedition medic as well as Dr. Montgomery’s lab assistant. He attended the Université de Montréal Faculté de Médecine where he studied bio-medical science. He spent two years in Iraq as a medic in the Canadian Special Operations Regiment during Operation Impact. He joined the Ossain team in 2017.
Gia Kim is the expedition interpreter. She is fluent in, Japanese Spanish, Arabic and many other languages. She has a master’s degree in linguistics from the University of Virginia. Gia has traveled extensively around the world studying cultures and cuisine and has become quite an accomplished amateur chef.
Leah Williams is the expedition photographer. With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in video and photographic arts, she is an expert in DSLR/video camera operation as well as image manipulation and video editing. Her job is to document the expedition and its findings. This is her first expedition with Ossain Biotech.
Amit Kumar is the logistical coordinator for the expedition. He oversees the transportation and security of everything from equipment to personnel. Amit was instrumental in evacuating Dr. Montgomery’s research team in India when the 2004 tsunami reached the Indian Ocean. He has been a member of every one of Dr. Montgomery’s expeditions ever since.
